Sandia Peak Ski Area, located in the majestic Sandia Mountains just 35 miles northeast of Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a must-visit destination for all ski enthusiasts. Originally known as La Madera Ski Area and established in 1936, it holds the honor of being New Mexico's first-ever ski resort. Sandia Peak Ski Area offers 35 trails, 4 lifts, and 300 acres of skiable terrain for all ability levels.
