What’s new at Sandia Peak for 2024-2025:

  • Starting Saturday, December 21st, Sandia Peak Ski Area will now be open every day of the week, from 10am - 4pm, providing convenience for guests planning their mountain adventures. Lift 4 now spinning daily with access to beginner terrain available for all levels of skiers or riders. Whether you’re stopping by for a weekday escape or a weekend outing, Sandia Peak offers the perfect blend of accessibility and excitement.

  • Sandia Peak’s Never Ever Lesson Packages make it simple to start skiing or snowboarding with confidence. Starting as low as $105 for kids ages 8-12 and $135 for ages 13+, these all-in-one packages include a four-hour beginner lesson, lift ticket, and rentals, ensuring that first-timers have everything they need to enjoy a day on the slopes. Sandia Peak is committed to creating a welcoming environment where learning is fun and easy for all.

  • Lift tickets for Sandia Peak are on sale now for as low as $19 in January when you buy online and in advance – limited quantities are available. In addition to affordable tickets for winter enthusiasts, select lift tickets will come with $10 in resort credit when bought online. About Sandia Peak Ski Area

Sandia Peak Ski Area, originally known as La Madera Ski Area, is nestled in the Sandia Mountains within the Cibola National Forest, just 30 miles east of downtown Albuquerque. As New Mexico’s first ski area, Sandia Peak opened in 1936 and has long been the go-to destination for locals learning to ski and ride. With 1,700 vertical feet, Sandia Peak offers access to 35 trails spinning across 300 skiable acres.
