Getting to the Resort

Please arrive at least 45 minutes early if you have a lesson booked.

Sandia Peak Ski Area is nestled in the stunning Cibola National Forest, just a 45-minute drive from downtown Albuquerque and 1 hour and 15 minutes from Santa Fe. Conveniently located on NM-536, on the east side of the Sandia Mountain Range, you’ll find parking readily available at the base area when you arrive.

Preparing For The Cold

Dress In Layers

Start with a moisture-wicking base layer, add a warm fleece or wool mid-layer, and finish with a windproof, waterproof outer shell. Wear easily adjustable layers as temperatures can change.

Waterproof Outerwear

Waterproof jacket and pants are essential to stay dry and comfortable. Choose gear with sealed seams and breathable fabric to block moisture while regulating temperature.

Goggles or Sunglasses

Protect your eyes with goggles for the best coverage against wind, snow, and UV rays. If goggles aren’t available, opt for UV-protective sunglasses.

Helmets

Safety first! Helmets protect your head and keep you warm. Bring your own or rent one from our fleet.
